Wishing A Happy Retirement to President Larry Joyner and Vice President Steve Williams
The hard work is over for two of our beloved staff members, President Larry Joyner and Vice President Steve Williams. Larry Joyner has been with the CWS Insurance family for 43 years and has served as the president, treasurer, and board chairman. Steve Williams has been working at CWS Insurance for 40 years and served as the Vice President. Both Larry and Steve retired at the end of 2020, and we sat down with them to find out what’s next.
Larry’s retirement plans will include quality family time and weekend getaways to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, to see his children and grandchildren. While some worry about their retirement plans, Larry says he knows he won’t be bored at all.
Steve has many projects planned for his retirement, including caring for his yard, woodworking, and enjoying his new boat. He also will spend time enjoying the perks of being a grandparent with his brand new grandson and his anticipated grandson, who will be arriving in March of 2021.
Larry and Steve both said what they will miss most at CWS is the people. Whether it is their coworkers or their clients, they’re in the business of people and problem solving, and they both agreed that will be what they miss most during their retirement. Steve said his happiest experiences at CWS were when he succeeded in fighting for the larger accounts and the relationships he built with clients along the way. Larry said he enjoyed solving challenging problems and bringing relief and peace of mind to their clients.
Larry and Steve both complimented the staff, who have made their time at CWS a pleasure. Steve said that his coworkers gave him lots of support throughout the years and helped whoever set foot in their doors succeed, including himself. Larry and Steve said they both have been very fortunate to have had great mentors, great staff, excellent client relationships, and quality relationships with insurance companies they’ve worked alongside.
CWS Insurance is saddened to see both Larry and Steve retire but look forward to hearing about their new adventures and seeing them enjoy their new, much deserved carefree lifestyle. We wish them both the best of luck in all their future projects and endeavors.
